National Contest on Social Innovation – we’re one of the winners!

Industree Foundation has been selected as one of the winners of the National Contest on Social Innovation organised by the Ministry of External Affairs and NITI Aayog. The objective of the contest was to identify a pool of social impact innovators that have developed/are developing commercially viable solutions to the socio-economic problems of India. Industree which believes in Better Lives through Artisanship, sent in an entry detailing the 6C ecosystem model which seeks to provide creative producers with all the necessary support to link them to modern markets. This ecosystem consists of:

cm-logo-whiteThis is part of Industree’s Mission Creative Million which seeks to celebrate the skills and cultural legacy of creative producers. By 2026, it aims to create significant social and economic impact for one million artisans by setting up 30,000 inclusive enterprises, tied together on a single digital platform that is harnessed by the power of technology and the smartphone revolution, with a focus on skill development and gender equality.

We’re also at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas where we will be receiving the award from the President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee at the ceremony on January 9th. If you are around, look for Mervin Joseph and Madhusudan at the Industree stall in the exhibition space.
